Hobbies…and my bookshelf
A simple visualization of what I like to focus on in life.
Family & Friends - I enjoy a good story-telling session.
Water - Being outdoors and on the water is where I think I’ll retire.
This Old House - Our house was built in 1941, currently restoring our home to its original glory.
Bicycles - Collecting, building, restoring, fixing, riding. ALL OF THE ABOVE.
Cooking - I find it one of the more creative and satisfying chores.
Gardening - It’s a lifelong experiment fraught with failures and occasional success.
Garage Night - Once a week, just me the bros fixin’ stuff, planning our next move.
Kickball - It’s exercise I swear.
Yard Work - Give me a good audiobook, a yard of mulch and I’m happy.
Beer - Cicerone-certified. I think beer is not only fun to explore, it’s technical and wildly diverse.
Car Guy - I’ve built Hondas, Harleys, and Jeeps. Anything with a motor and I’m tickled.
Lifelong Tinkerer - It pains me to throw away broken things.
“A hobby is a regular activity done for enjoyment, typically during one's leisure time, not professionally and not for pay. Participation in hobbies encourages acquiring substantial skills and knowledge in that area. A list of hobbies changes with renewed interests and developing fashions, making it diverse and lengthy.”
