Removed the 2.5L 4cyl
Much easier said then done. Probably took about 4-6 hours in the driveway. Not a huge deal since we got the entire drive train out at one time. We removed the Motor, Trans, and Transfer case as one piece. We cut one exhaust bracket that was hooked on the transmission. I left the wiring harness attached to the firewall and will try and re-use some of the original connections. I also left the alternator and power steering equipment attached to the jeep. All in all if was fairly straight forward. Here's a couple pics of it finished and out.Lesson Learned:
- Make sure you have a fuel line tool to remove the fuel line fittings.
- I chose to remove the front grill. It probably would have been impossible to remove the whole drive train at once without doing that. I'd recommend it.
