Description:
1997 Jeep Wrangler TJ Cummins 4BT Diesel Swap This is a solid Jeep built in the garage. It has been driven daily without any issues for over 10k miles and about 15 months. I've taken it on a 4-hour road trip and it did well. I need the money and I'm ready for a new project. It's not perfect. It truly drives like an old truck. Rough, stiff clutch, manual brakes, and 4-speed. 25mpg average. The project is 99% complete with a few non-essential items left to do. The tachometer is not wired. There's no intercooler setup. The jeep would ride better if it had a long-arm suspension. The jeep gets on average about 22/25mpg (city/highway). In the summer it does better. A standard jeep gets about 14/16mpg. With an intercooler setup and some tuning, it could probably be up to around 30mpg. I recommend this be purchased by someone with some mechanical skills. Obviously, jeep TJs don't come with diesel engines so maintaining this isn't as simple as taking it to your dealer. You'll need to be familiar with working on your own vehicles. Everything works on the jeep except for the tach. Feel free to ask questions. I have nothing to hide, I'll be straightforward with any answers, etc.
