Updates and New Parts

A few quick updates I want to mention.New Steering BoxI had ETA install this because I was feeling generous. It really improved my on-road steering feel. I think any jeep older then 10 years should do this as maintenance.Cable ShifterGot my transfer case cable shifter from Novak. It went in pretty easily, but I had to modify the bracket for use with the SM465. Essentially I had to mount the cable bracket to the cross member vs the trans.Speedo GearNew speedo gear from AA, I'm hoping to track my fuel mileage more accurately now! That will be a separate update in the near future.Front Dana44 LockerI chose the Aussie locker. I decided to go with this mainly because of price. It's a proven locker and is probably all I'll need for the foreseeable future.  If I need anything else, I'll probably just swap in Dana60's. Gonna stick with the LSD in the rear Ford 8.8  for now.Front Axle workI ordered Yukon 3.73 front diff ring and pinion to match the rear. I'll finally have 4wd. This is the last major piece of the project. With the Warn manual locking hubs installed, I'll be able to disconnect the wheels and transfercase from the axle. Good to have for daily driving and a must with the Aussie Locker. Measured for my front driveshaft. I'll be picking that up from Carolina Driveline.I'm going to have the guys over at Open Air Jeeps perform the gear change. They seem really reasonable and are easy to deal with.Fuel/Oil filters10.5 qts of Valvoline Premium Blue 15-w40 HD Diesel Motor OilFleetguard Fuel and Oil Filters from FilterBarn.comOther little goodiesRoll bar handle grabs, put a 'slightly used' driver seat in, Herculined the interior and put in some new carpet.  Reinstalled the center console, you don't know how much you need a cup holder till you don't have one! oh.. and some sweet floor mats.HerculinerStill plenty left to do, but she's almost ready for her first trip south to Hatteras!
