4WD is official

Had my Aussie Locker (automatic locker) , locking hubs and new 3.73 Yukon front diff gears installed by Open Air Jeeps. This would be the culmination of the project to finally have a functioning 4WD system. The last part I was waiting on was the front driveshaft. I decided to order a double cardon that replaced my yoke output from the transfer case. Again, Carolina Driveline did a superb job and it fit perfectly the first time. It was kinda a big moment in the whole project just like starting it up for the first time. Being able to shift into 4-LOW and Throw the trans into LOW was remarkable. The crawl speed was about 1mph. I can literally walk significantly faster then it drives at half throttle.  The trails will be the true test to see how the set up does. I'm pretty happy tho. Next update will probably be on the first offroad trip! Wish me luck. Last MPG reading was about 17mpg. Not what i was hoping for.. but I should be around 22mpg after the intercooler and a few other tweaks to the fuel system.1997 TJ Diesel
